Impression of the show on Saterday evening on the X-ANS festival in Kébémer, with different ethnic groups from Senegal and at the end: Ngueweul Rythme with the leader Ndigueul. Ndigueul and his group organized a festival 'XANS ' (to celebrate the10th anniversary of their Association Artistique et Culturelle Ngueweul Rythme alias NNR) in Kébémér, one hour driving from Dakar. From 18th till the 27th of January 2008, a week full of festivity's, like painting workshops for the kids, planting trees, cleaning the neighborhood and a lot of music, shows with artists from all over Senegal. Kili Senegal Parrot - How to File Parrot Nails
In this video I show how I file my Senegal Parrot's nails. It is a good idea to cut the nails every few months with a nail clipper but to prolong the time between clipping, you can file the nails to keep them shorter and blunt. Do not cut your bird's nails without proper training. It is better to take your bird to a vet or avian expert to get the nails cut. In this video I show how to hold and file birds ranging in size from small to medium. This would include senegals, conures, quakers, mini macaws, cockatiels, various parakeets, parotlets, and budgies.Basically any type of parrot that is small enough to hold firmly in your hand, you can hold like this to file. Don't give into your bird if it bites because that will encourage biting in the future. Be sure to reward your bird after filing nails to avoid making a negative association. I usually give my bird a seed and let it sit on my shoulder for a while and take a break.
